We learn that our esteemed friend, A. B. Wingerd, Esq., of Antrim township, had no less than 67 head of fine fat sheep destroyed by dogs on the night of the 3d inst., in his Barn-yard.--The Sheep were valued at $5 per head, thus making Mr. W's loss $335!--intrinsically, of greater value, in our opinion, than all the dogs in the county put together.

Full Text of Article

--Yesterday, the 127th anniversary of Washington's birth day, was celebrated in fine style in this place. The Military company from St. Thomas, under command of Capt. James Elder, visited our town, and were kindly received and every attention paid them by the Chambers Artillery under command of Capt. F. S. Stumbaugh, and the Light Dragoons under Capt. C. T. Campbell.

Three better officered, better uniformed, better drilled, better behaved companies we never saw parading, marching and counter-marching, through our streets.

Every thing passed off pleasantly and all our citizens were delighted with the day's entertainment. May the gentlemen who compose these three companies live to enjoy many returns of the 22d of February, is our wish.
