Encourages women to not tell their secrets to the first female confidante they meet because "A woman can't keep a secret any more than a sieve can hold water," tells them to not pretend to be angry when men have the audacity to look at them when they promenade Broadway in their best bonnet, since they only go there to be seen, and tells them not to turn down a marriage proposal when they really want to accept.
